Geremia Lodi

Flautist, singer and body per­cus­sion­ist, Geremia has devel­oped his artis­tic career inter­twin­ing per­for­mance and ped­a­gogy. Grad­u­at­ed from the Con­ser­va­to­ry of Novara in Flute and from the Uni­ver­si­ty of Berg­amo (Italy) in Edu­ca­tion­al Sci­ences, Geremia con­tin­ued his stud­ies at McGill Uni­ver­si­ty obtain­ing a Mas­ters in Music Edu­ca­tion, research­ing the role of the body in the process­es of cre­ation and music impro­vi­sa­tion. By merg­ing this dual nature, both on stage and in his work­shops, Geremia cre­ates con­nec­tions between peo­ple, then using this con­nec­tion to cre­ate authen­tic and per­son­al music.

Geremia col­lab­o­rates among oth­ers with The Nation­al School of Cir­cus, the asso­ci­a­tion Place des Arts––program art adap­té––, the asso­ci­a­tion Com­mu­ni­tas, sus­tain­ing for­mer inmates’ rein­te­gra­tion, and l’é­cole des Entre­pre­neur de la Beauce. In June 2022, with the trio Café Korigé, he show­cased at the Fes­ti­val de Musi­ciens du Monde pre­sent­ing orig­i­nal com­po­si­tions results of the artis­tic res­i­den­cy Créa­tion Dif­fu­sion of the Con­seil des Arts de Montréal.
