Leah Abramson

Leah Abram­son is a singer, song­writer, and com­pos­er whose work explores vocal har­monies, sound­scapes, and the inter­sec­tion of human­i­ty and the envi­ron­ment. After years spent tour­ing inter­na­tion­al­ly as a lead singer and mem­ber of var­i­ous ensem­bles, Leah now adds play­wright, pro­duc­er, and music direc­tor to her cred­its, with Songs For a Lost Pod, her large-scale inter­dis­ci­pli­nary pro­duc­tion, which pre­miered in 2022. As an instruc­tor, Leah facil­i­tates col­lab­o­ra­tive music work­shops and projects, with a focus on diverse com­mu­ni­ties and men­tal health set­tings. Leah holds an MFA in Cre­ative Writ­ing (focus on lyrics), and cur­rent­ly lives and works on the tra­di­tion­al, unced­ed ter­ri­to­ries of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Wau­tuth Nations (also known as Van­cou­ver, BC).
